The Dr Alan HJ Chan Spirit of Singapore Book Prize is a biennial award made possible by a generous donation from Dr Alan HJ Chan, a Singaporean philanthropist and entrepreneur. The prize aims to recognise works that best epitomise, inspire and promote the Spirit of Singapore. It is awarded by the SUSS Academics’ Selection Panel comprising academics from SUSS and other Autonomous Universities, distinguished writers and critics.
