The hongkong prize is one of the most prestigious writing competitions in Asia, with thousands of entrants and winners each year. The competition rewards winners with monetary prizes and the opportunity to participate in an awards ceremony. If you’re thinking about entering the competition, it’s important to read all the rules and regulations carefully. If you don’t, you could end up disqualified from the contest.

Besides the cash, the winnings can also include travel and other rewards. The winnings from a single ticket are based on the number of matching main numbers drawn. The 1st prize is worth a total of HK$8 million, while the 2nd prize is HK$4 million. If no winner wins the first and second prize, the money that would have been paid out for those prizes is added to a jackpot (Duo Bao Jiang) in the next draw, which can reach about HK$100 million.

The prize pool for the 2024 Paris Olympics will be more than doubled, reaching HK$3 billion including the supplementary prizes. The increase in the prize money will help attract more elite athletes to Hong Kong, boosting the local sports scene and making it a global sport hub.

In addition to the monetary prizes, the winnings will also come with other benefits such as accommodation, flights, and food vouchers. The winner of the top prize will be announced in March, with a chance to win an additional HK$1 million. The winners of the remaining prize categories will be notified later this month.

Besides being a valuable platform to promote science and technology, the Hong Kong prize also gives young researchers the chance to gain international exposure and recognition. Moreover, the winners will be awarded with certificates and trophies.
